Dr. Rhoda S. Slade is a transformational voice for the emotionally wounded, spiritually weary, and purpose-driven soul. A trailblazing ordained elder, certified NLP life coach and practitioner from Conscious Mastery Academy, John Maxwell certified speaker and facilitator, and obtained a Doctorate in Christian Education from Zoe Fellowship Bible College, she combines biblical wisdom with practical strategies to help others rise from brokenness to breakthrough. As a survivor of childhood trauma and emotional struggle, Dr. Slade shares her testimony with authenticity, authority, and an unshakable commitment to see others healed and whole.

My writing roots
The story of When Damaged Goods Collide didn’t begin at a desk or with a publishing plan. it was born in a place of personal brokenness.
In 2007, while sitting in an Anger Management class, wrestling with pain I had long tried to suppress, the Holy Spirit whispered a title into my spirit: “When Damaged Goods Collide.” I didn’t fully understand it then, but I wrote it down. That divine download marked the beginning of something much bigger than I could have imagined.
For years, I carried the weight of that title, knowing the story was inside of me but not knowing how or where to start. I was damaged. I was hiding. I was still healing. But as I allowed God to restore me layer by layer, from childhood trauma to emotional exhaustion to spiritual disconnection, this book series began to take shape. Not from theory, but from lived experience.
This isn’t just a creative project. It’s the birthing of a breakthrough that started with me and now reaches others. Through tears, therapy, prayer, deliverance, and relentless surrender, When Damaged Goods Collide was written, not just by my hands, but by the healing power of God working through my life.
Today, what began in a place of pain is now a platform of purpose.
